You said you had 32 GB of RAM . . . so I can almost assuredly say that  
insufficient RAM is not your issue. As I and others have noted . . .  
there certainly may be something going on; but lack of RAM 'taint it.

Is your boot drive real full maybe? That will cause issues . . .
