yeah, I get you...plus it's way easier to just drag them off the 
page..I do it all the time, myself...

assuming you're up-to-date on all of your maintenance routines..have 
you tried re-starting the machine?  might be silly, but sometimes it 
works for me to clear up wierdnesses...
