For a general comparision of Mac performance, covering all models, check out the Primate Labs Blog at: http://www.primatelabs.ca/blog/2008/06/mac-performance-june-2008/ Or http://preview.tinyurl.com/49lof3 if your email client is lame. All the G5 iMac models are in the list, so you can compare them performance-wise with each other. As a quick summary: If you already own a decent monitor, buy a Mini. For the same purchase price as a used iMac, it is more than twice as powerful as any G5 iMac. In fact, the C2D Mini is faster than any Mac G5 Tower(!) except the 4-core model! On a price/performance basis, for what you get compared to new, G5 Macs are way overpriced.
