[X4U] G4 iBook Printer issue

Hello All,

My wife has a G4 iBook that she has begun taking to work.

At home she has an HP PSC 1401 AiO printer.

At work she has an HP PSC 1410 AiO printer.

She (read I) has to reinstall the software whenever she changes printers 
even though the software says "1400 Series Printers".

Suggestions beside carrying her printer to work and back.
