Close all folders . . .create a new Finder Window . . . set it's position and view characteristics . . . close the window. Don't do anything else or it gets confused. This should then be the default setting for all new Finder windows. If it doesn't work . . .and trashing the Finder plist doesn't work then maybe it's stored in some other plist and somebody else will know which one. -- neil Quoting Ed Gould <edgould1948 at comcast.net>: > Is there a way to make the finder default when opening a folder to show > in list view? > I am finding it a PITA to have to go in and change it each time I open > a new folder. > I *THOUGHT* there was a way as it seemed to work this way on most > folders before I trashed the finder preferences. > > Ed > > _______________________________________________ > X4U mailing list > X4U at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/x4u > > Seven Cent Deals - Great legacy stuff Great Legacy > Pricehttp://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?cat=Seven+Cent+Deal
