Gail:

I too have had total system lockups 2-3 times a day. It really is  
sporadic. The only reason I can guess is that something in an RSS  
feed is causing SAFARI to lock up. The only way I can get out is to  
reboot. I have found if I stop SAFARI (after use) no more system  
lockups so far and I am happy. It is difficult to remember to shut it  
down though.
