[X4U] Alternatives to X4U?

The delays in communications here makes it impossible for the X4U list  
to function as a useful forum for our discussions. Yet I like the  
people here and the general tone of the discussions. It used to be  
just fine,   but I am getting impatient with the delays, unexplained  
bounce backs of my replies to postings, and lack of a list-mom.  Are  
there any alternative online sites/fora that I could explore to see if  
they fulfill my needs better?

I get a lot of hits when I Google this subject so it's hard to  
separate the wheat from the chaff.
