It isn't you. It isn't Mail. It's those screw-ups at Comcast. I am using Entourage 2004 to retrieve my mail, and was unable -- trying once every ten minutes -- to do so for an hour today. The same hour today when you wrote complaining about problems. (Correction: I could not get my Comcast email; AOL and Mac.com were OK.) FWIW, I have multiple email accounts, and Mac.com is the most reliable in terms of failed attempts. Comcast fails once or twice a day, and AOL half a dozen times virtually every day. All from the same Mac (note the capitalization) and same email client. Like you I have gone around and around with Comcast support, to no avail. Why do I put up with it? The other ISPs available here suck far worse.
