But the spammers don't want to put any time into focusing their message. They are relying entirely on a shotgun approach. So no one ever looks at your particular email address. You are just one of perhaps a hundred thousand email address the spammer has purchased/ acquired/stolen. So in the end, the actual recipient is a tiny insignificant item, unless you respond to the attempt. Then you have provided them with a golden opportunity!
