When I install some shareware -- for example, Unsanity software -- it asks
me if I want to install for just that User, or for all Users on the Mac.

Not all shareware does this, however; it's up to the coder/developer to
decide how it installs. If you have feedback about your particular piece of
shareware, I'd suggest letting the developer know that you would prefer
different behavior.
