[X4U] Aggravatingly slow beach ball

Hi all,

I zapped the PRAM as per Lee's recommendation and the problem seems  
to be better, not completely gone but greatly improved. I can't  
believe with everything that I had done that I had forgotten about  
the PRAM. I was a systems manager for 15 years looking after a couple  
dozen computers, I have no excuse for forgetting something as simple  
as that.
