[X4U] back to my mac

hi

at home i have an iMac that i need to access from my MacBook Pro while  
in the office. i have a MobileMe account and am thinking of turning on  
the "back to my mac" functionality.

i've read a few things about this function that make me hesitate, that  
basically it makes your mac accessible to anybody if not properly set  
up, etc, etc…

what do i need to do in order to make back to my mac work without  
running the risk of having my files stolen? i really appreciate a few  
tips!
