[X4U] Music downloaded through iPod

Hi everyone,

When my daughter purchases music using iTunes on her iPod Touch the  
songs don't show up anywhere in the song list on the iPod, even the  
"Purchased on the iPod Touch" playlist that is automatically created.  
If she tries to download them again a message shows up saying the song  
has already been downloaded but we can't find it anywhere. However,  
after we plug the iPod into our iMac and it goes through all it's  
Sync, the songs show up on the iPod without us doing anything else.  
Downloading Apps through the AppStore on the iPod works fine. It's  
only music that doesn't show up (we haven't downloaded any video  
through iTunes). Is there something we're missing? I'm sure we should  
be able to download music using the iPod without having to use the iMac.
