Same thing happened to my son's Xbox last week. (the red rings, not the shooting). Quick search on the internet showed me how to fix it and my son is playing with it again. I'm sure the guy in the video had fun destroying his but I'm sure at least one of the 5 he claims to have had could have been easily fixed.
