I just installed the driver from brother and that installed some utilites. I starts up by asking usb or network. I select network and then it goes to the device selector. Where do I go from there? The printer is on the network via airport, but it is then on usb on the airport. thx, -wes On Sat, Feb 5, 2011 at 2:17 PM, Ed Graf <edgraf at earthlink.net> wrote: > Works fine for me, at one geographic location with an older MFC laser and another, entirely separate location with an inkjet MFC, both connected with their own airport network. > > I use the "Brother Control Center" on each computer and scanning works either from the MFC or from the remote computer or laptop. Rarely, the much older laser "8820DN" needs to be restarted to start a scan by finding the laptop, otherwise scans can always be initiated from the computer or laptop. Software not all that intuitive but with a little experimentation one can achieve reliable scans. > > > On Feb 5, 2011, at 12:00 PM, x4u-request at listserver.themacintoshguy.com wrote: > >> If I connect a brother mfc via usb, image capture works as expected >> with regard to scanning. ?What I would like to do is scan via the >> printer connected to an airport base station. ?Is this possible? ?Of >> course it prints fine this way, but I would like to scan too if >> possible. ?Can find any google links that show some insight. > > _______________________________________________ > X4U mailing list > X4U at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/x4u > > Seven Cent Deals - Great legacy stuff Great Legacy Price > http://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?cat=Seven+Cent+Deal >
