[X4U] Another mission control question

Seems to be fighting me, what I want to do...I set up an application  
in a Space. I then needed to watch a Quicktime video while having  
that other application up; the video is a tutorial, so I want to  
follow along.

Mission control won't let me have both; only one or the other. And, I  
can't add Quicktime to the other program's space.

Is this how Mission control and spaces now work?
