[X4U] Poor Cell Phone Reception at home

Are there Antennae, Receivers, Amplifiers, Boosters, etc that can improve cell phone reception inside my home?

I live on the Atlantic coast and all the sell towers are in 180 degree arc.  My roof is impervious to signals for some reason.  I have cell reception in my west windows period.  Needless to say, I would love to have reception on the east side of my house: my office.

When I google this I find _thousands_ of products!  How does a moderately uninformed user pick a good solution?  Does anyone have good things to say about a home solution of theirs?
