This isn't related to Snow Leopard.

It's a non-default Firefox configuration option under Options > General > Startup > "When Firefox Starts" > Dropdown option "Show my windows and tabs from last time".

In Firefox 4 under 10.5.8 when it closed, it remembered all the pages and opened them.  Not this time with Firefox 4 and 5.  I loose everything.
