[X4U] How can I disable Mail

Cat, I have selected TB as my default mail client.
Nick, I do not have any accounts in mail. I did, but I got rid of them
when I started having this problem.

One cannot delete the Mail app. You get a message saying it is needed by
the system. I tried moving it to the desktop, but only an alias goes
there. I did zip it, but the original mail app stays there too. It
doesn't disappear like other items I zip do.

Confusing to say the least.
