I am starting to think the problem is with my isp - Fairpoint. Early this morning I had a good connection on my iPad so I used speedtest and had results almost as good as on my Mac. A few hours later I was having horrible connections on my iPad but doing speedtest on my Mac, it was pretty bad too. So, I am thinking that when the isp gives me problems the iPad is affected more. Still, the issue seems to be one I need to talk to Fairpoint about. Thanks. I am set for now. Allan On 3/19/12 9:42 AM, Joe Tinney wrote: > How is your Mac connected to your home internet? If it is connected wirelessly, like your iPad, try testing them from the same location. Location is everything with wireless and it matters more or less depending on the wireless device installed in your equipment. Some work better than others and some work better with different combinations of equipment. > > -----Original Message----- > From: x4u-bounces at listserver.themacintoshguy.com [mailto:x4u-bounces at listserver.themacintoshguy.com] On Behalf Of Allan Rube > Sent: Sunday, March 18, 2012 8:54 PM > To: X4list > Subject: [X4U] wifi on iPad problem > > On my Mac I run speed test and consistently get download of 15.8 and upload of 14.2, except sometimes I only get 11 and 9.25 - that is an issue I will deal with Fairpoint. > > My concern is my iPad2. I only get 1.6 dl and 4.3 upload. Any ideas what is wrong and what I can do to improve speed? >
