[X4U] Update from 10.6.8 to 10.7.x

I have 3 Macs to upgrade, from 10.6.8 to 10.7.  I realize the only way to acquire 10.7 is by download, over the internet, but I would like to have a CD/DVD copy, and I would prefer not to have to do the long download 3 times.  So, my question; can I download to a file, useable on all 3 Macs (all are different)?  Or, am I forced to d/l over again each machine?
