[X4U] Delete several pictures on iPad at once

I have several photos in iPhoto that are duplicates or triplicates. they were not taken with the iPad. I do not see anything in iPhoto to delete. 

. Note that you’ll only see photos taken with your iPad. Photo albums synced to your iPad from sources like iPhoto won’t appear here. To remove or modify those synced albums, you’ll have to modify the original source album.

How do I modify the original album?
