When you used DiskWarrior, I assume you able to start up the iMac from that DVD. If that is the case, I'd be inclined to worry about the condition of her hard drive. How old is the iMac? Do you have a back up of the startup drive? If not I'd get one going soon. You can get an external hard drive to use as a startup disk.
