I'm running with 24Gb of RAM, and a very heavy Photoshop user, so far 
it's been a good thing.  Add in restarting Photoshop occasionally and 
it cleans up the system RAM just as good as a reboot.  Each time I've 
tried this, it's dropped the RAM usage down to about the same point.
