FYI. I ran Geekbench on the 10.9.2 upgrade and the scores were slightly higher (3304 vs 3355). I ran the Mail.app and it did NOT download my POP Gmail. I went to my Google Web Mail to double check the recommended POP configuration settings and I discovered the e-mail address for the "User Name", under "incoming mail server" was incorrect. I corrected it and it got my mail. I switched back to Mail under 10.8.5 from my backup and the User Name was correct, so it appears as though the upgrade to 10.9.2 changed the entry I had in there. So it appears I can get my Google mail via Mail.app. Looking forward to doing the Mavericks upgrade on my main HD later today or tomorrow! --Bob On Mar 5, 2014, at 6:56 PM, Bob Aldridge <aldridgebob63 at knology.net> wrote: > I did the upgrade last night on my external backup HD and everything seemed to go well. I plan to run some benchmarks tonight if I have time and see if that shows any slowdowns. I opened up mail. app and let it import all my mail. Seemed OK. Then I went over to iMessages and clicked around there to see any changes. When I did that, Mail.app quit un-expectedly. I reopened it and it worked fine the rest of the night. > > So my plan is to upgrade my main iMac HD on Friday afternoon. > > --Bob > Madison, AL > > > On Mar 4, 2014, at 12:12 PM, catsoul <catsoul at thinkplan.org> wrote: > >> Is 10.9.x going great for most?
