[X4U] Apple Mail and iPhone images

When I receive an email from an iPhone, iOS 7, photos attached come in named as either image.jpeg or photo.jpeg. Is there a way to tell the iPhone to use a date/time or sequential number when sending these emails?

Normally I use Dropbox to transfer my images from my iOS devices to my iMac and then the images have a date and time taken as a file name. But when friends email me their images I have to rename them.

Any ideas?
