[X4U] Alternative to Apple Keyboard?

Beautiful as it is, I'm sick of trying to type on the thin, aluminum keyboard with the short-travel keys. I find too often that they don't register and I find myself - for lack of a better term - whapping on the keys.

I hear others do this, too  on various macs and pcs all with the low-height keys. maybe it's a trade-off of functionality in exchange for the sleek look of thin computers.

Anyhoo, I'd like to gather recommendations for other keyboards out there, 3rd-party models that offer typing function as their #1 feature. I had a mac ally ice keyboard once that wasn't too bad..any others people like?
