in "Auto" scan mode. <br>
Scan turned out almost all black, but program seemed to be working. <br>
Switched to manual scan mode to re-scan, and program quit. Restarted

program, attempted a manual scan, and program froze with non-stop <br>
rainbow pinwheel. Could not force quit; had to shut down computer.<br>
