They both appear problematic, as I have tried re-introducing them one at a time with the same result.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>In relation to Spotlight, I have forced it to re-index as follows: add the HD to the Privacy section (as in 'do not search') of the Prefpane. After a couple of minutes remove it from the exclude list and then it re-indexes. It's doing it again now, with approx 2 hours remaining. Yesterday it indexed the whole disk (apparently) in twenty minutes.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>So far so good then, though I notice that uControl is not working and iCal won't launch. It bounces, shows a window but crashes before it can load any Calendars. So round here it's called iCant...
