<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">G'day all,</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I'm under a very quick deadline to sort
out a Font library purchase.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Anyone recently researched what is available
and what is the best offering for the best value?</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">We're submitting justifications for
budget spending and I was looking at the Linotype Gold library (20 User-which
is what we're after) but it is still PostScript T1. My preference is OpenType
(single file - new standard) but I'll resort to T1 if the value is blazingly
for going that way.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">The Adobe FontFolio9 library (T1) holds
less fonts for a greater price (also only 10 user), however, Adobe does
offer an OpenType library but has a reduced number of fonts again from
their Folio9 library. But, is this because they have merged families into
one OpenType font, eg. four PostScript T1 Times variants merged to one
OpenType Times that has all four variants inside it?</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I also realise that even though they
may offer OpenType fonts, they may not have the extended character-set
added yet.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I was kinda hoping that the font vendors
would have had the merge to OpenType all sorted out by now. It seems like
a SLOW race to me.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Anyway, perhaps someone else has already
done their homework on all this and has some great suggestions.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Many thanks,</font>
