The new toast 7 will compress, the write. Popcorn will also compress
and then write.<br>
DVD2oneX2 will compress and then save or write. There is a 30 day
trial, then 30.00.<br>
I've used all these, but never to make a bootable disk.<br>

To make my own questions more concrete: does anyone know of software
(I have OSX 3.9) that does either/both of these jobs:
compresses/splits 9 GBs of files on my HD to DVD size chunks
preliminary to burning to DVDs?
