History:</font></div>
<div><font face="Lucida Grande" color="#000000">Decided to upgrade my
original Graphite Airport base station (in use since 1999) to a more
recent, but still used, Airport Extreme base station. Purchased from
an online store which purportedly declared it as a refurb. Needless to
say, it was more used than refurbed and arrived without the installer
CD. This wouldn't be a problem except you need the original software
included on the CD to upgrade the Airport Utility software. It isn't
available for download from Apple.</font></div>
<div><font face="Lucida Grande" color="#000000"><br></font></div>
<div><font face="Lucida Grande" color="#000000">Earlier in the year,
there was an upgrade called the >
AirPortBaseStationUpdate2007001</font> < it turns out you can find
this original v.5 software inside the content packages. Once you have
this original software the ability to upgrade to v.5.1 can be
done.</div>
<div>Apple, in all its selfish wisdom, has also removed this original
update for download. ??</div>
