getting a Jabra Bluetooth headset is a better bet - there are no audio
drivers for BT on OSX yet and very few [if any are actually shipping ] for
headsets -> computer on other OSes.

I have a similar problem and put my phone in the window so it can see the
line of sight Cell station 14 miles away - there is one 1/2 a mile away but
it is at the top of the hill I live at the bottom of:-(

If nothing else the headset has a better microphone than the G4.
