We are definitely sure there is nothing to do with the adaptor. The adaptor is doing fine, I suggest you go into details about your software setting to find out if there is any software conflict inside your computer. I'm pretty concerned about the problem that Martin is having because none of this should cause a kernel panic, at most the process should fail, but a kernel panic would seem to be indicative of something else being wrong.
