The post you responded you told you how to get the software version from the
main menu. The quote marks may have confused the instructions. Here they are
again, from the idle screen (i.e. the screen you get to when you first turn
the phone on):

Push the joystick to the right once
Press the * key
Push the joystick to the left twice
Push the * key
Push the joystick to the left once
Push the * key
(I remember all this as "right, star, left, left, star, left, star)

You should now see the Service menu. Press Service Info, then SW
Information. Mine is R6A012. Do I *need* to get the latest revision? Maybe,
maybe not. I haven't heard of any capability newer revisions provide that I
might need. I connect and synch fine with my TiBook and my current T68i
software.
