I'm sure I didn't re-pair every time, actually I was doing it with 3 macs and all I had to do was remove and place the BT USB dongle on another computer. The names appeared correctly as well... strange? I thought it was normal... The name is defined in the sharing preferences in OS X. I now have a Powerbook with internal BT so I keep the dongle on just one computer (I don't use the 3rd computer any more). -mw A diplomat is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a way that you actually look forward to the trip.
