T616 for AT&T and Cingular, I believe. T610 for T-Mobile. As a modem (9600 baud), you can just use the phone. For data service (maybe 40,000 baud) you need to sign up for an additional service (mLife on AT&T or T-Zones on T-Mobile). T-Zones is free for the first month, then $2.99 a month for a meg or $9.99 for unlimited. The T610 is a nice phone, but if you can get your hands on a T39 that's a really nice phone too...or a P800....or a P900...or a....you get the idea. I'm sure a T610 is fine. I just like the T39 because it gets pretty good reception with the external reception. Also, there are tons of R520s on ebay...another nice Bluetooth GPRS phone that works with Macs.
