Dead ibook

[Signhelpers]

A new (Aug 2002) ibook 600 from my wife's office died today. It 
refuses to respond to any stimulus. With battery. (2 indicator lights 
come on when you push the button on the battery.) With AC adaptor. 
Power Manager reset - there was no response. Those are the only 
variables I could find on the Apple site for troubleshooting. Lots of 
stuff to try if it would begin booting, but this thing made nary a 
peep.

Sounds bad. I delivered it to authorized Apple repair place and await 
the verdict.

Any similar tales?
