Just to be sure you know. You installed the latest Java-update, not any
Javascript-update. Javascript is very different from Java, although with a
similar name.  Try googling java vs. Javascript or similar. Bringing the
Java up to 1.4.1 means a lot for people running scientific apps etc. And it
recieved a warm welcome from those who use it!
