[P1] Music Store

Do you mean AAC encoded music files? No, you don't need iTunes 4 -
iTunes 3 will play them. I encoded a few that way when QT6 came out, by
using one of Doug's AppleScripts
<http://www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/itinfo/makeminempeg4.shtml> and QT
Pro. The only problem was they didn't get transferred to my iPod, at
least at that time (Sep 02).

As far as the AAC encoded files you buy and download from the iTunes 4
Music Store, they can be shared with and played on up to 3 Macs only. I
don't know how they do that, but I suspect whatever it is might rule
out playing them in iTunes 3. Has anybody tried?
