Jason: I bought two clamshell batteries a couple of years ago from Overstock.com for $60 (total). When they arrived, the same thing happened. I read on the list about VST Chargers being able to reclaim some of these. I bought one (cheap) and it resurrected both batteries, and they're still fine.
