[P1] USB infrared adapter on G3 ibook OSX

Does it show up as an active device in the system
profiler.  Is it Mac compatible? I have seen a lot of
these for PC's, but not for Macs.  Something like this
should definetly require some sort of drivers or
software to get the interface working.
