I'm sure there are ways to get an 802.11G device to work with your iBook. However, the "extreme" technology is still a toddler and is too big to fit in a card the size of the original AirPort card. If you want to be able to use 802.11g, you will have to get a USB 802.11g Device that will work with Mac. I went ahead and did a little research for you and found that Belkin is working on a (rather expensive) adapter that plugs right in to your iBook's ethernet port. Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201522&pcount=&Product_Id=154416 I'm sure other companies that produce wireless technologies have or will have something similar to this.
