Fwd: [P1] how do I back up for a re-install?

This has happened to me a few times, while putting my iBook to sleep 
before going home.  i thought it was just me or a result of unplugging 
my usb devices screwy.  I've done the delete and lock - we'll see if I 
kernel panic again.
