Edward -- With TiBooks retailing for under $2,000 new and for considerably less than that used, and the new Aluminum Book small version priced new in the same range, you're awfully ambitious. Take a look on e-bay and see what comparable computers are selling for. I'd be surprised if they were over $1,000. Probably appreciably less.
