SOT: entourage on iBook acting strangely

Hello folks, 

My 2nd iBook (a cute tangerine clamshell) is used by my wife for her email.
She has far less accounts on there and far less emails than I have on my
icebook. But recently she gets some really weird errors and tons of
"application has unexpectedly quit" messages. The display of the mail box
ans sent box seem corrupt. Many lines of email not being displayed.

Has anyone an iDea what that is and how it could be fixed

And please refrain from suggesting other mail applications :) I tried, and I
stick with entourage.

We both are running OS10.2.3
