Because I am obsessive and will keep flipping the thing upside down,
prodding it, and wondering why it won't stay down...

Thanks for your reply--I was about to get a second battery for the ibook,
but will rethink this as replacing  a battery will mean shutting the 'book
down and then restarting it. Seems much easier to just plug it in with that
cool mini-AC adapter.
