Lol... sounds like someone has too much free time on their hands! I think the metal you're talking about is similar to the type that's used on peoples braces these days... 'memory wire' I think is the term. Basically the wire is soft while at room temp, but once bought up to mouth temp it attempts to return to its original state, ie, a straight wire or whatever. But yes, that would most certainly be an interesting laptop to see... imagine the look on a PC user's face as you folded up your laptop and put it in your pocket! --Michael.
