[P1] Does the Clock Sleep?

It's worth mentioning the problem that if you tried to do something
with your iBook before the menu bar time was corrected to current time,
the iBook might freeze or do other wierd stuff.  And that therefore a
rule of thumb was not to do anything until the time display was right.
Is this still a problem with eg 10.2.6?  I don't want to try any
experiments, but figure it's worth mentioning.

And can an iBook--or OSX in general?--really do things while
*sleeping*?  Cf unix cron jobs run while the computer is on and running,
not while sleeping, right?
