OT: Creating PDFs, an Adobe Distiller question

Thank you for your help. Yes, I tried embedding all fonts. However,
at work we took a field trip to a prominent printer in Michigan who
prints the publications we produce. I'd forgotten one of the people
told us they deal exclusively with PDF's for their work, and require us
to send them all art in this format.

I called and talked with one of the help desk people, and he told me
that the reason Skia was not embedding in my document was because it
was a System Font, not a Printer Font. He said they run into this
problem occasionally.

When we took the project to my fiance's work and tried it on her flat
panel iMac, it worked fine because she had the Skia font as a Printer
Font.

For what it's worth, that's what I learned.

Thanks.

Mark
